What is Glenaire?

Glenaire fits within that single category of the most comprehensive type of facility designed specifically for older adults: it is a "continuing care retirement community" (CCRC). This means the campus includes residential living - cottages and apartments - a Community Center with a dining room and other services, and a complete Health Care facility, all of which are under the same ownership and management.

Though a complete and comprehensive CCRC, Glenaire will always be a comfortable and manageable size, never large or impersonal. Today, expansion has increased the potential capacity to roughly 400 -- 280 in independent residences and 120 in the Health Care facility.

Glenaire is designed for active, older adults who are able to take full advantage upon entry of living independently, participating in the programs offered and enjoying the life of the resident community to the fullest.
