Clinic Services
The Clinic is an out-patient and referral service available primarily for residents in the apartments and cottages. Glenaire’s staff Nurse Practitioners and wellness nurses are available routinely for consultations and treatment.
Residents may visit the Clinic for blood pressure checks, routine tests and injections, medicine administration, health education, consultation or minor medical treatment as ordered by the resident's physician. Referrals may be made to a private physician or other specialists, and transportation, as needed, may be arranged or provided.
Clinic days are posted weekly for the services outlined, and it is through the Clinic that the medical status and condition of the residents is monitored regularly in order to proactively address health needs. Flu vaccinations are given through the Clinic, and it is, in many respects, the center for a wide range of wellness activities.
Each independent resident can call upon 14 "grace days" in Skilled Nursing per calendar year in the event of illness or recovery that might require time in the Health Care facility. The cost is covered in the monthly charge, with the exception of extra meals, pharmacy expenses, physician fees, therapy charges, and other medical fees.
